Cannabinoids are biological compounds naturally occurring within Cannabis sativa plants; however, they are can also found in other organic sources and produced within the human body. Cannabinoids are fatty compounds that play a vital role within our immune and central nervous system.
The ECS was discovered in the 1990s by researchers experimenting with the effects of THC. The ECS is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids that bind to cannabinoid receptors and cannabinoid receptor proteins in the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. Preliminary research indicates the ECS may be involved in maintaining the homeostasis of the human body and regulating physiological and cognitive processes such as, but not limited to: fertility, pregnancy, pre & postnatal development, the immune system, appetite, pain-sensation, mood, memory, and other processes.
Cannabidiol (commonly known as CBD) is one of many cannabinoids that comes from the flowers, leaves, and stalks of hemp plants. It interacts naturally with the body’s neurological endocannabinoid network to transmit therapeutic effects to cells throughout the entire body. CBD from hemp plants should not be confused with THC from marijuana plants as CBD does not have any psychoactive effects.
Most CBD oils typically contain a spectrum of cannabinoids including some amount of the THC cannabinoid. Such CBD oils are referred to as “full-spectrum” CBD oils which must contain less than 0.3% to avoid being considered a controlled substance in the U.S. Alternatively, broad-spectrum CBD oils have remediated the THC cannabinoid. Evolved Natural’s broad-spectrum CBD products provide all the benefits of CBD without a hinderance of THC.
The federal Farm Bill made CBD taken from hemp legal in December 2018. Since then, you have probably noticed a sharp rise in CBD products. One of the most popular products is CBD gummies. Gummy candies have been around since the 1920s and have remained popular since then. All products must containing less than 0.3 percent THC.
Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the intoxicating cannabinoid that is associated with “getting high”. In accordance with the Farm Bill of 2018, any hemp-derived product cannot exceed 0.3% THC. The threshold is set arbitrarily low to avoid any narcotic effect. Anything exceeding the 0.3% threshold is still considered a controlled substance in the U.S. Evolved Naturals takes the added precaution to remediate THC from our broad-spectrum CBD products. Our broad-spectrum CBD oils may create an “entourage effect” from the non-intoxicating cannabinoids in high-potency form. Clients may experience calmness and relaxation, but not a “high”.
The experience individual users have with CBD will vary per individual depending on weight, height, body mass, health condition, and potency and quantity of CBD taken. Unlike THC, CBD is non-intoxicating and therefore there is no “high” associated with the use of our products. CBD helps the body to maintain normal, healthy conditions which may be noticeable depending on a variety of health factors. We generally recommend clients to either (a) start with regular dosage of our lower potency products and increase potency OR (b) start with a low dosage of higher potency products and increase dosage, until desired results are achieved.
Marijuana and Hemp come from the same biological family, Cannabis sativa. The main difference between the two is their level of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) Marijuana containing illegal amounts of the psychotropic cannabinoid. According to the Agricultural Act of 2014, American legislation describes legal hemp plants as containing less than 0.3 percent THC.
CBD products that fall under the 0.3% THC threshold are not considered a controlled substance in accordance with U.S. federal law as per the Farm Bill of 2018. To the extent that CBD products comply with the 0.3% THC threshold, they are not considered marijuana and a medical marijuana card or doctor’s prescription are not required. Evolved Naturals’ CBD products have been fully remediated to eliminate the THC cannabinoid. THC remediation ensures compliance with the 0.3% THC threshold in the U.S. and in many countries that do not consider hemp-based products as controlled substances. We export our products globally. Please verify that your country does not consider hemp-based products illegal prior to ordering.
While our broad-spectrum CBD oils are THC-Free they may contain minor amounts of cannabinol (CBN). CBN is a cannabinoid derivative of THC which can trigger a false positive in a THC test. If this is of concern, we advise reviewing the lab reports for each product prior to purchase to see if it contains CBN and speaking with your employer or doctor before using our broad-spectrum CBD products.
